Diorama Room, UIN Online News — The Social Trust Fund (STF) of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta held its 2025 scholarship awarding ceremony on Tuesday (14/10/2025), honoring students from various faculties who received financial support for their academic achievements. The event took place at the Diorama Room and was attended by the STF leadership team, institutional partners, and scholarship organizers.

In her address, STF Director Prof. Dr. Amelia Fauzia, M.A., Ph.D., stated that the Social Trust Fund is to empower students to become agents of change.

“We deeply care that this program is not merely about giving financial aid. It’s about making our scholarship recipients part of a movement for change and expanding the advantage of those who benefit from education,” she explained.

Prof. Amelia also reported that since its establishment in 2012, STF UIN Jakarta has successfully supported 1,428 beneficiaries, with a total disbursement of Rp 2,987,828,210 to date.

Delivering a motivational speech, Prof. Dr. H. Husni Rahim, Senior Professor of the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FITK), encouraged the awardees to view education as a path to transformation.

“Every opportunity should be seized, for preparation begins with a character who possesses moral integrity and a strong work ethic. They are the two essential traits that define your success. Thus, you carry the responsibility to embody human dignity, perseverance, and lifelong learning,” he remarked.

Ferawati Gondokusumo from Tokio Marine Insurance Group, one of STF’s long-time partners, reminded recipients that the scholarship is both a privilege and a responsibility.

“This is a rare opportunity, and use it to make a difference in your community. Remember, true knowledge is reflected in how much good we can bring to others,” she expressed.

Meanwhile, Mochammad Sholeh Farabi, Corporate Fundraising Manager of Lazismu, another STF partner, praised UIN Jakarta’s educational environment for cultivating socially aware and critical-minded students.

“UIN Jakarta students always bring surprising insights that challenge us to think deeper. Every discussion among them sparks a new level of awareness and critical reflection,” he praised.

The ceremony concluded with a follow-up mentoring session for all scholarship recipients, reinforcing STF’s commitment to nurturing academically excellent and socially responsible UIN Jakarta graduates.
