STF distributes the Ministry of Social Affairs assistance to students of UIN Jakarta
Rectorate, UIN News Online – Social Trust Fund (STF) UIN Jakarta distributes 150 food packages from the Ministry of Social Affairs to the students affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. And 50 more packages were distributed to campus security guards who had been actively helping to prevent the spread of the deadly virus in the campus environment.
This was said by the Director of STF UIN Jakarta Amelia Fauzia to UIN News Online, Sunday (04/19/2020). Based on STF data, there are around 1000 students including international students who are still around the campus area. “Therefore, STF, along with other components in UIN Jakarta work hand in hand to help students,” said Amelia.
According to Amelia, food packages from the Ministry of Social Affairs were delivered through TB Ace Hasan Syadzily, a member of the Indonesian Parliament who is also an alumnus of UIN Jakarta. The assistance contained 11 kinds of items, namely instant noodles, biscuits, tea, coffee, sauce, sardines, soy sauce, cooking oil, soap, salt, and 5 liters of rice.
In addition, assistance from various parties continues to arrive, both institutionally and individually. The type of assistance provided is not only in the form of food, but personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand sanitizers.
Amelia also added, assistance to help Covid-19 affected students will continue to flow. “Assistance in the form of rice will also be sent from the Baitul Mal Umat Islam Bank Negara Indonesia (Bamuis BNI) foundation,” she said. (usa/ns)
