STF Distributes Donation for KKN activities

STF, UIN News Online - Social Trust Fund (STF) UIN Jakarta supports the implementation of UIN Jakarta Student Community Service (KKN) by donating goods. Donations are expected to redistribute PMKK participants to the people in need.

Charity Store Officer of STF UIN Jakarta, Oktavia Sari, said that the support was given by STF UIN Jakarta through Charity Store division by forwarding donation of goods worthy from public to KKN UIN Jakarta group. "In addition to secondhand clothing, donation of goods distributed are books and reading lessons," she said.

Sari added, the donation is distributed to KKN group in Bogor Regency, West Java. This KKN group was chosen based on the condition of the community of their assigned area which was considered suitable to be the target of donation distribution.

One of the students who participated in the recipient group of donations, Suparman, admitted that he was greatly helped by the donation given by STF UIN Jakarta. According to him, donations of goods such as books will be very useful for the community in the community service site.

Besides the direct donations, he continued, his group will also hold cheap bazaar for the sale of donated goods can be distributed in the form of activity program financing. "Thank you for entrusting the distribution of donations to the KKN group. Insha Allah will we convey to the people who are entitled, "he said.

 Encourages Donation

On the other side, Sari encourages the public to donate used goods that are no longer used, whether clothing, reading books, and accessories. STF UIN Jakarta through the Charity Store division is ready to accommodate and redistribute the donation to the target community.

For those interested in donating, she said, they can go directly to the Charity Store booth next to Bank Mandiri, Campus I, UIN Jakarta. "The proceeds from the sales earned by Charity Store are used for educational scholarships and social activities," she explained.

It is known that Charity Store Program is an innovation program in donating to support the empowerment program conducted by STF UIN Jakarta. This program allows the public to have an alternative donation besides donating money.

So far, a number of individuals and institutions have donated many goods, especially books. The donated books were resold and the results were distributed in the form of scholarships and financing of social activities organized by STF UIN Jakarta. (usa)
