Starting from a hobby, this student has published several books

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Even though they are faced with a very busy schedule, it is common for UIN Jakarta students to join an organization or community that suits their interests and talents, be it in the fields of sports, music, theater, discussion or writing.

Lutfi Zain or Fifi for example. The student of Al-Quran and Tafsir Science at the Faculty of Ushuluddin (FU) UIN Jakarta continues to nurture her talent in the field of writing even though she is busy with her study activities.

She admitted that the process of writing to publishing an article and book was not an easy task. Repeatedly expressing ideas, she often felt dissatisfied and disappointed with the outcomes. Even when an article was finished and she satisfied with the results, it turned out that her work was rejected by the publisher.

Armed with strong determination and support from friends, Fifi finally succeeded in publishing her first work. A book entitled “Dalam Balutan Cahaya”, published in 2019.

“This book tells about the journey of a preacher,” said Fifi.

Motivated by the publication of her first book, Fifi then finished her second book entitled “Seteduh Embun Pagi”.

“This book is based on the true story of a Al-Qur'an memorizer,” she added.

Currently, Fifi has finished the script for her third book. She hopes to be able to publish at least one book every year. She also admitted that she is not after the popularity or royalties.

“I want to preach through writing. I also want to motivate others,” said Fifi.

Currently, Fifi is ready to join a national writing community that has produced many creative writers. Previously, she was listed as a writer at the Hadith Interpretation Student Forum on religious moderation. (usa/zm)
