SPs UIN Jakarta Will Hold the 5th International Colloquium on Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies
Rectorate, UIN News Online – Graduate School (SPs) of UIN Jakarta is scheduled to organize the 5th International Colloquium on Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies (ICIIS 2022) in Lombok, 19-22 October 2022. Students and researchers are welcome to submit article that are ready to be presented in this academic discussion.
This was said by the Director of SPs UIN Jakarta Asep Saepudin Jahar in the ICIIS kick off meeting on Tuesday (04/26/2022). The 5th ICIIS will be held in collaboration with SPs UIN Mataram, UIN Sultan Thaha Saefudin Jambi, and I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa State Hindu University Denpasar.
According to Asep, this conference is a prestigious event organized to provide an international forum for academicians, researchers, practitioners, and students to present their research findings to global experts.
“Each full paper submitted will be peer-reviewed and evaluated for its originality, technical and/or research depth, clarity, and relevance to the conference theme and topics,” said Asep.
He also added that accepted and presented papers will be published in the Taylor & Francis Conference Proceedings. “We will provide more adequate space for colleagues and students who want to publish their work. So please participate,” he said.
This time, the conference took the topic of Religion, Education, Science and Technology Towards a More Inclusive and Sustainable Future. This topic is open to five research areas, namely Religious & Islamic Studies, Education & Psychology, Economics, Science, and Social Science.
There are a number of keynote speakers scheduled to attend the colloquium. Among them are Azyumardi Azra (UIN Jakarta), Abdullah Sahin (University of Warwick), Steven Eric Krauss (UPM), Lysann Zander (Leibniz Universitat), and Sidratun Naim (Harvard Medical School).
ICIIS 2022 committee, Mailia Dinia Husni Rahim added that considering the article will be published in one of the world's leading publishers, it is hoped that the participants will write their articles as well as possible by complying and following the rules of scientific writing. “So, for writers who are interested, please prepare the article properly,” she said.
