SPs UIN Jakarta Selects 84 Prospective New Students

SPs, UIN News Online – As many as 84 prospective new students participated in SPs UIN Jakarta selection test for 2017/2018 academic year (even semester). The selection was held for two days, January 31-February 1, 2017 at SPs UIN Jakarta.

The applicants consisted of 54 people for Master program (S2) and 30 people for Doctoral program (S3). They come from various universities, whether private or state universities throughout Indonesia.

The head of Academic and General Administration Affairs SPs UIN Jakarta Retno Wulansari MSi explained that the selection process is carried out strictly, it was intended to maintain the quality of graduates. “The selection process is quite strict. They need to compete for limited number of seats,” as she explained to UIN News Online on Wednesday, (2/1).

The first day of selection test will be carried out in the form written test which includes TOEFL, TOAFL and Academic Potential Test. As for the second day, it will be carried out in the form of oral test which includes thesis/dissertation proposal test, English and Arabic reading test as well as Islamic Knowledge.

According to Retno, the selection result will be announced on February 10, 2017. For those who passed the selection test are required to re-register on February, 13-17, 2017. Study Card Plan (KRS) can be filled online from Feburary, 13-23, 2017. They also required to follow the Orientation Period which will be held on February, 22-23, 2017, while the beginning of the class will be effectively conducted on March, 6, 2017. (im)
