SPs UIN Jakarta Holds Final Semester Exam

SPs, UIN News Online – Graduate School (SPs) UIN Jakarta holds final semester exam (UAS) on July 2-6, 2018, and followed by 400 Islamic Studies Program students, both Master’s and Doctoral Program. Implementation of the UAS takes place from 08:00 to 15:00 and involves at least 14 supervisors.

According to SPs Head of general administration Asriati, SPs UIN Jakarta has prepared various facilities for UAS implementation, such as classroom readiness, the availability of lighting, to exam material and answer sheets.

"All have been prepared as well as possible so that the participants can perform well in the exam,” she said.

The exam material, Asriati explained, is all sourced from each lecturer. Average questions numbered between 4-5 items and made in essay form. "We have to double the question and prepare the answer sheet according to the number of students per class," she explained.

In addition to written examination, students are also required to collect papers as final assignment of lectures. Papers are made by students from each given course and then compiled in a form of book.

Previously, Director of SPs UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Masykuri Abdillah said that the final schedule exam will be held on June 25-29, 2018. However, due to some reasons, the implementation of UAS is postponed to 2-6 July 2018.

According to Masykuri, one of the considerations because the deadline of the value of input value   online   through   Academic Information System (AIS) and Higher Education Database (PD Dikti) at the Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education will be closed on July 20, 2018.

“Additionally, the students also requested that finals to be postponed. One of the reason is because the price of tickets for the holiday back home is considered fairly high,” he added.

Masykuri expected that the implementation of UAS run according to the plan and followed by all students. Because, after that, there are no more final re-take.

“There is no final re-take. So, students must follow the exam according to their respective course schedule,“ said Masykuri.

Leader of SPs UIN Jakarta threatened not to issue the grade of the students who did not take the exam at the specified time. Therefore, the leadership of SPs UIN Jakarta asked the students to understand and heed all the provisions that exist. (usa)
