SPAN PTKIN UIN Jakarta Registrant Reached 74,388 Participants

Rectorate Building, UIN NEWS Online – Number of UIN Jakarta admission enthusiasts who opened SPAN PTKIN now reaches more than 7,000 participants.  SPAN PTKIN enrollment system registration is still ongoing and will end on 29 March. SPAN PTKIN offers at least 25 religious studies programs with a total quota of 1,860 seats.

"Since it opened on March 1, the students who are interested in entering UIN Jakarta on this line continue to increase. The latest data shows the real number reached up to 74,388 participants. Whereas the quota provided are no more than 1,800 seats. So, the competition is also quite tight, "said Head of Public Relations UIN Jakarta to NEWS UIN Online in his office on Tuesday (03/27/2018).

Feni said, SPAN PTKIN is the enrollment system of UIN Jakarta and other Islamic universities under the auspices of Ministry of Religious Affairs. This system is based on the ability or achievement of students through grade 10-11 report cards in schools. Although without a written selection, this path still uses the mechanism in determining its graduation.

"The mechanism of each entry file will be selected by the central committee based in UIN Makassar, South Sulawesi. Every enthusiast in each PTKIN will be selected based on the highest value rating according to available quota, "he explained.

In the data of registrants who chose UIN Jakarta, the biggest enthusiasts were still in the Sharia Banking Study Program with a total of 9,324 participants (55 seats quota). Followed by Sharia Economic Study Program with total enthusiasts reaching 7,887 participants (55 seats quota) and Islamic Broadcast Communication Studies Program with 5,905 participants (165 seats).
