SPAN PTKIN Admission Reaches 32.136 Applicants

Rectorate, UIN NEWS Online – UIN Jakarta new student admission path which opened through the State Islamic Religious Higher Institution Performance-based test (SPAN PTKIN) is still ongoing. Through this enrollment type, UIN Jakarta offers 30 religious programs spread across six faculties, namely Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Faculty of Shariah and Law, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, Faculty of Ushuluddiin and Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah.

Based on data from SPAN PTKIN local committee as of March 7, 2018, the number of applicants who want to enter UIN Jakarta has reached 32,136 participants.

The 11 biggest enthusiasts of the study program are Islamic Banking as many as 3,918 participants with a total quota of 55 seats, 3.337 Islamic Economics (55 seats), Communication and Islamic Broadcast as many as 2,509 participants (165 seats), Islamic Guidance and Communication Development of 1,476 participants (55 seats ), Islamic Education as many as 2,045 participants (68 seats), English Education 2,025 participants (68 seats), Education Management 1,835 participants (50 seats), Indonesian Education 1,475 participants (68 seats), Biology Education 1,670 participants (50 seats), Quranic Sciences and Exegesis (1,157 participants), 130 seats, and Islamic Political and Administrative Law (Siyasah) as many as 1,115 participants (20 seats).

Sub-division Head of Publication and Documentation UIN Jakarta Feni Arifiani MH, Monday (03/12/2018), said the number of applicants in UIN Jakarta above is a temporary data. Recapitulation of final result will be decided after registration of SPAN PTKIN closed on schedule from the central committee.

"The number of registrants and enthusiasts will continue to increase until the end of online registration periods,” he said.

According to Feni, SPAN path PTKIN is a national enrollment type followed by state Islamic universities under the ministry of religion, namely UIN, IAIN, and STAIN. This enrollment system accepts new students based on academic achievement or student report cards.

Online registration is open from 1-29 March 2018 after the students get the User ID number and password from the school's origin. Administration test will be done in two phases, first phase on April 9-14, 2018 and the second phase on April 18-25, 2018. The result will be announced on May 1, 2018. (usa-rs)
