Soon, UIN Jakarta Will Introduce Thousand of Freshmen in PBAK 2025
UIN Jakarta, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is set to welcome its new students in the 2025 Introduction to Academic Culture and Student Affairs (PBAK). This annual program serves as a platform to shape character, instill national values, and provide academic preparation for first-year students under this year’s theme: “Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s World: Spreading Love, Spreading Kindness, and Nurturing the Environment.”
Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., in his welcoming address, emphasized that this theme is more than just a slogan. It is a call to develop individuals who are not only intellectually capable but also kind-hearted, caring, and ready to contribute to the nation and the world.
“This theme is not merely a beautiful phrase—it is a real invitation for students to become not only intelligent individuals but also compassionate, caring, and ready to contribute to society, the nation, and the world,” he stated.
He further extended a warm welcome to the new students who are now officially part of the UIN Jakarta academic community after undergoing a rigorous selection process. He described their arrival as the beginning of a new chapter in their life journey that will shape their future.
“Welcome to all new students who have worked hard to pass the selection process. Your presence here at UIN Jakarta marks the start of a new chapter that will define your future,” he opened.
Echoing this sentiment, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., conveyed:
“Becoming a (university) student is the start of a new journey after High School, one that is full of challenges as well as opportunities. Your presence here is a source of pride for this campus, as it will be your home for growth, development, and self-discovery over the next four years,”
Meanwhile, PBAK 2025 Organizing Committee Chair Dr. Muhtadi, M.Si., highlighted the committee’s readiness to host the event. He expressed his hope that all participants would experience UIN Jakarta’s academic atmosphere through the well-prepared series of programs.
“We hope that new students will experience the academic culture through this PBAK. This is not just an annual ceremonial event—it is designed to introduce students to relationships, learning dynamics, and how to become impactful individuals among their peers,” he closed.
The committee has also set several guidelines that participants must follow, such as punctual attendance at each session, wearing the designated official attributes, maintaining courtesy on campus, and attending the program in full. Students are also required to keep the environment clean and comply with instructions and rules from the organizers.
PBAK UIN Jakarta 2025 will take place over four days, from August 26 until 29, involving all faculties, student organizations, and campus service units. The program will also feature introductions to various Student Activity Units (UKM) and Autonomous Bodies (LO) throughout the event.
