GENERAL INFORMATION
NATIONAL SELECTION BASED ON ACHIEVEMENT (SNBP) 2025
Main Objective
- Providing opportunities for high school/vocational high school/Islamic high school students in Indonesia and abroad (Schools of the Republic of Indonesia/SRI) who have superior achievements to pursue higher education at State Universities (PTN). PTN is a higher education institution organized by the government, including: Academic PTN, Vocational PTN, and/or State Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN).
- Providing opportunities for PTN to get prospective new students who posses good academic achievements with a minimum quota of 20% which cost's will be borne by the government.
General Terms
- SNBP is carried out based on the results of tracking academic achievements using report cards and academic and non-academic achievements of students that have been determined by PTN. The academic and non-academic achievements of students that are assessed are the three best achievements.
- Schools, that include their students in SNBP, must have included: The report cards of eligible students, and National School Identification Number which both have been completely and correctly filled in PDSS.
- The school must have a School SNPMB Account to fill in PDSS and students must have a Student SNPMB Account for SNBP registration. School SNPMB Account Registration, and Student SNPMB Account Registration are carried out at SNPMB Portal
- Students, who will register for SNBP, are highly advised to read the information on the requirements for the study program of their choice on the PTN page which hey are aiming for.
- Students, who have passed the 2025 SNBP Pathway, 2024 SNBP and 2023 SNBP Pathway selection, cannot register for UTBK-SNBT 2025.
- Students, who have passed the 2025 SNBP Pathway selection, cannot register for the Independent Pathway selection at any PTN (SPAN-PTKIN, and UM-PTKIN).
Requirements for Schools
- Senior High Schools/Vocational High Schools/Islamic Senior High Schools that have NPSN.
- Accreditation provisions for allocation of eligible students:
- Accreditation A: 40% best in school
- Accreditation B: 25% best in school
- Accreditation C and others: 5% best in school
- Schools that use e-report cards in the PDSS system will receive an additional 5% eligible student quota.
- Student's data, which is entered into PDSS, is only for those who are eligible.
Requirements for Students
- A final year high school/vocational high school/Islamic high school student in 2025 who has excellent achievements.
- NISN (National Student Registration Number) and it must have been previously registered in PDSS.
- Report card grades that have been filled in PDSS in accordance with the regulations.
- Academic achievements.
- Meets the requirements determined by each Academic PTN and Vocational PTN.
Ranking System
- Student ranking system will be carried out by the school by calculating the student's average grade from all subjects from first semester to fifth semester.
- Schools can add other criteria in the form of academic achievement or other achievements in order to determine the student's rank.
- The number of students included in the ranking is in accordance with the expected regulation of the school accreditation quota.
PDSS Data Entry for School
- Schools must ensure that school data is correct in the Data and Information Technology Center (Pusdatin).
- The entering data of eligible 12th grade students into the PDSS is carried out by the Principal. The accuracy of the data, which has been entered, is the responsibility of the Principal.
- The PDSS filling stage will be completed if the school has successfully downloaded the proof of finalization during the filling of PDSS.
Registration for Students
- Eligible student, who has already filled the data in PDSS, will register for SNBP through SNPMB Portal using the Student SNPMB account.
- Student, who register for the Arts and Sports study program, are required to upload a portfolio and proof of skills documents that have been approved by the Principal. The guidelines of uploading portfolio and proof of skill can be downloaded at menu Downloads
- Student, who has done the registration process, are required to print the SNB Participant Card as valid proof of being a participant in SNBP 2025.
- Re-register at the PTN where prospective students are accepted according to the provisions of the PTN in question.

Picking your Study Programs
- Every student who is eligible is allowed to choose a study program at an Academic State University, and/or Vocational State University.
- Every student can choose two study programs from one or two State Universities.
- If choosing one study program, students can choose a State University in any province.
- If choosing two study programs, one of the study programs must be at a State University in the same province as their SMA/MA/SMK.

Criterion and Stages
Selection process on the SNBP pathway will be carried out based on this following:
- Screening for prospective students, who are academically qualified, by judging their report card scores and other achievements;
- Considering the track record of the school's performance;
- Calculating the matching probabiliity of cross-department deployment for each students; and
- Utilizing national selection criteria and principle set by each PTN in a fair, accountable, and transparent manner.
The aforementiones process will also be carried out in this following stages:
- Registered students are selected based on the order of first choice of their study program; and
- If student does not pass the selection for the first study program choice, they will be included in the selection for the second choice.
Three main aspects to get yourself accepted at State Universities
- You must have been graduated from SMA/SMK/MA education units.
- You must have been declared to have passed the screening process after your result has been announced
- You must have been passed data verification and met other requirements which is determined by each recipient PTN.
Punishment for Schools/Students Who Commited Fraud
- Schools that is proven to have committed fraud can be subjected to sanctions up to: cancellation of participation in the SNBP next year.
- Students, who are declared to have passed the SNBP and are proven to have committed fraud, will have their graduation status revoked.
KIP Kuliah Scholarship Applicants
- Students who are applicants from lower economy families can apply for educational assistance under the Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP Kuliah) scheme.
- KIP Kuliah registration is only valid for study program choices at PTN Kemdiktisaintek
