Sharia Investment, Why Not?

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online – First introduced on November 30th, 2007, Sharia investment in Indonesia has become one of the promising investment alternatives. With more than 300 pieces of Shariah stocks, this amount is equivalent to 48 percent of the total shares listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange or IDX.

This was conveyed by Derry Yustria SE MBA during his presentation on National Seminar of Sharia Market Stock, organized by The Faculty of Business and Economics UIN Jakarta at Harun Nasution Auditorium, Wednesday, (3/15).

According to Derry, Sharia investment is one of the appropriate instruments. In addition by using the principles of sharia, the form of the transaction also does not conflict with the rules of Islam.

“The trick is quite easy, when the stocks being down, we buy, and vice versa,” said Derry.

The seminar which officiated by FEB Deputy Dean of Students Affairs Dr Desmadi Saharuddin invites a number of keynote speakers, among them are Ari Al Arsi (Republic Investor) and Sutrisna Amijaya (MNC Sekuritas). (usa)
