Sharia banking doctoral program of FEB UIN Jakarta impove its accreditation status
Rectorate, UIN News Online – In order to strengthen the academic contribution of UIN Jakarta in developing sharia banking science, sharia banking doctoral program of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Jakarta has succeeded in improving its accreditation status into a “B” grade.
Based on National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) website, Saturday (03/20/2021), the accreditation status was based on BAN-PT Decree Number 1531/AK/BAN-PT/Akred/D/III/2021 and valid for five years until March 17th, 2026.
Dean of FEB UIN Jakarta, Amilin, and the Department Head of Sharia banking doctoral program, Euis Amalia, expressed their gratitute for this accomplishment. “Hopefully we can increase our commitment in developing FEB's academic contribution in Islamic banking science as well as producing quality human resources,” said Amilin.
Meanwhile, Euis Amalia added that the acquisition “B” grade accreditation status is something to be very proud of. Apart from being a new doctoral study program, this program is the only sharia banking doctoral program in Indonesia. “And Alhamdulillah, we have graduated seven doctors in sharia banking,” she explained.
Since its opening, Euis added, the FEB Sharia Banking Doctoral Program has been oriented to producing qualified human resources in the national sharia banking sector. In addition, this program is also expected to strengthen the contribution of UIN Jakarta in the scientific development of sharia banking through various research and scientific publications.
“This is in line with the acceleration of the sharia economic system in the country,” said Euis. (usa/zm)
