7 Professors of FSH UIN Jakarta Appointed Together

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News – UIN Jakarta inaugurated seven professors from the Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH). The inauguration took place at the Main Auditorium of Harun Nasution on Wednesday morning (8/5/2024).

The event was opened by the Chairman of the UIN Jakarta Senate, Prof. Dr. Dede Rosyada M.A. The inauguration, led by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., was attended by deans, invited guests, and the families of each professor.

The seven professors appointed are Prof. Dr. Abd. Rahman Dahlan, M.A. (Usul al-Fiqh), Prof. Dr. Hasanudin, M.Ag., Prof. Dr. Yayan Sopyan, S.H., M.Ag., M.H., Prof. Dr. Mesraini, S.H., M.Ag., Prof. Dr. Wardah Nuroniyah, S.H.I., M.S.I., Prof. Dr. Asmawi, M.Ag., and Prof. Dr. Alimin, M.Ag. (Tafsir).

During his inauguration, Prof. Dr. Abd. Rahman Dahlan, M.A. delivered a scholarly oration titled "The Theory of al-Maslahah Najm al-Tufi and Islamic Legal Fatwa". He was appointed as a professor of Usul al-Fiqh at UIN Jakarta.

Next, Prof. Dr. Hasanudin, M.Ag. delivered his speech titled "Re-evaluation (I'adat al-Nazhar) of Scholars' Opinions in the Context of Developing Financial Jurisprudence". He was designated as a professor of Financial Jurisprudence at UIN Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Yayan Sopyan, S.H., M.Ag., M.H. explained his scholarly speech titled "Integration of Islamic Law into National Law: Efforts of Marriage Legislation to Ensure the Establishment of Peaceful, Prosperous, and Just Families". He was formally appointed as a professor of Islamic Family Law at UIN Jakarta.

Additionally, Prof. Dr. Mesraini, S.H., M.Ag. delivered a scholarly speech titled "Renewal of Women's Rights in the Family: Transition from School of Thought Jurisprudence to State Jurisprudence in Indonesia". He was confirmed as a professor of Family Law at UIN Jakarta.

Followed by Prof. Dr. Wardah Nuroniyah, S.H.I., M.S.I.'s speech on "Reconstruction of Methodology for Renewing Indonesian Islamic Family Law". She was appointed as a professor of Islamic Family Law at UIN Jakarta.

Continuing with Prof. Dr. Asmawi, M.Ag.'s scholarly speech titled "Reinterpretation of the Concept of Maslahah and Its Relevance to Contemporary Ijtihad". He was appointed as a professor of Usul al-Fiqh at UIN Jakarta.

Lastly, Prof. Dr. Alimin, M.Ag. elaborated on his scholarly speech titled "Befriending Destiny: A Study of Living Quran Based on Autoethnography". He was officially appointed as a professor of Tafsir at UIN Jakarta.

Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., in his speech, congratulated and appreciated the achievements of the professors. "With the appointment of 7 professors, the number of professors at UIN Jakarta now reaches 138, making it the institution with the highest number of professors in PTKIN," he said.
