Serving Humanity: Faculty of Medicine of UIN Jakarta Conducts Oath Ceremony for Nurses

Auditorium Prof. Dr. dr. MK. Tadjudin, UIN Online News -  93 medical students from the Faculty of Medicine at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta participated in the Nurse's Oath ceremony held at the Auditorium Prof. Dr. dr. MK. Tadjudin on Wednesday (5/2/2025).

According to the official website of the Faculty of Medicine at UIN Jakarta, the number of students participating in the Pledge of the Nurse event is about 87 individuals from 2021 batch, 5 students 2020 batch, and 1 student from 2019 batch.

Before they continue their professional education as co-assistants at the Main Teaching Hospital and affiliated hospitals of the Faculty of Medicine of UIN Jakarta, pledging the Nurse's Oath is the primary prerequisite for medical students who have completed seven semesters of preclinical studies (154 credits) and have participated in the graduation ceremony. 

During the ceremony, it was commenced with the recitation of the holy Quran and followed by the Nurse's Oath led by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of UIN Jakarta, Dr. Achmad Zaki.

The Nurses oath, which is played with sequence of commemoration in the middle of medical students, marks their significant milestone before progressing to the level of medical professional education.

The Hippocratic Oath is a solemn vow made by physicians or medical students that siginifies moral and ethical commitment to practice medicine with honesty, professionalism, and devotion to their patients and society.
