SEMA UIN Jakarta holds MPPU

SC Hall, UIN News Online – The UIN Jakarta Student Senate (SEMA) held the 2019 University Student Representative Conference (MPMU). The activity will be held for three days, Thursday-Saturday (09/19-21/2019), at the Harun Nasution Auditorium, campus I of UIN Jakarta.

The activity that carries the theme on “Peningkatan Peran Mahasiswa Pada Era Demokrasi Demi Mewujudkan Good and Clean Governance Melalui Check and Balances” was officially opened by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, Thursday (09/19/2019), in the Student Center hall. Also present in the event, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Masri Mansoer, Director General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Kamaruddin Amin, and members of SEMA-DEMA.

Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis in her remarks emphasized several things that need to be understood by students regarding the intra-campus organization and Student Activity Unit (UKM).

“UIN Jakarta is currently entering the international stage. Therefore, students should always support campus programs. Let us think about how we can develop UIN Jakarta together,” said Rector.

Moreover, Amany also added that organizations and UKMs should be used as a medium to earn various academic and non-academic achievements. “The implication of being active in organizing is an increase in our learning ethos. Therefore, please be active in various organizations,” she said.

Meanwhile, the chairman of SEMA Jamsari said that this annual event would discuss the AD ART and GBHK within the UIN Jakarta student organizations.

“The purpose of this activity is how to make the UIN Jakarta student organizations can support the great ideals of our beloved campus, namely by improving the quality of its students,” said Jamsari. (usa/lrf)
