SEMA FAH Visits UI

FAH, UIN News Online - Student Council of Faculty of Adab and Humanities students (SEMA FAH) made a visit to the Consultative Council for Students of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of Indonesia (DPM FIB UI) Friday (9/14/2018). The agenda is part of the 2017-2018 SEMA FAH work program.

On the occasion, SEMA FAH delegated 10 members to attend the DPM FIB UI secretariat office in Depok. Chairman of SEMA FAH, Muhammad Amirudin A. S conveyed, the purpose of this comparative study was to improve the performance of student legislative institutions, especially SEMA FAH.

"To improve the quality of SEMA FAH, we try to find out about the student legislature outside UIN Jakarta, how to do this through comparative studies, discussing ideas with cross-university institutions with different perspectives," said Amirudin when interviewed in the Dean's meeting room.

SEMA FAH itself chose DPM FIB UI because the quality of the student legislative body was unquestionable, judging from its activeness and consistency in carrying out work programs and the massive publications on social media.

Amirudin added "What we got from the results of the meeting there, DPM FIB UI is indeed very consistent and strict regarding its supervision, they control and supervise every half of the month of the Study Program Student Association (HMP). This institution controls the work program that has been planned and synchronize it with the ratified date, "he explained.

SEMA FAH is not only the one who learn from DPM FIB UI, they were also quite salute with the work program carried out by SEMA FAH, such as advocacy and aspiration. An example is a mini aspiration work program which held every Friday night on yasinan event and a public hearing program, which in the meantime does not exist at DPM FIB UI work program.

Amirudin hopes that the next period of SEMA FAH can establish good communication with student legislative institutions inside or outside UIN Jakarta, so that they can continue to improve quality by developing an existing institutional system.

"The important thing is that the communication will continue. Who knows, maybe we can make cooperation on one agenda or can share networks for other events," he concluded. (usa)
