Securing the Electronic Selection System and Digital Infrastructures, UIN Jakarta Audits Cyber Security and Affirmative Actions Ahead of Institutional Entrance Exams

JAKARTA, UIN Online News – Ahead of the centralized Electronic Selection System (SSE) for the institutional independent student admissions cycle, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta finalized all operational matrices during an executive coordination assembly at the Diorama Auditorium on Thursday, July 9, 2026. The high-level briefing was convened to guarantee that the digital testing pipeline, scheduled from July 13 to July 16, 2026, is executed under strict transparency, high data security, and systemic order.

The synchronization assembly was led by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, alongside Admissions Chair Rahmawati, M.M., Vice Chairs Dr. H. Nanang Fatchurochman and Dr. Arif Rahman, and Secretary Rachmat Baihaky, Ph.D. The operational audit thoroughly inspected various specialized divisions including server optimization, SSE application deployment, exam room logistics, proctor allocation matrices, encrypted exam item inputting, and general security protocols.

The Chair of the Admissions Committee, Rahmawati, M.M., clarified that the committee is implementing a micro-management approach to field logistics. Primary checkpoints center on validating hardware reliability, ensuring ergonomic test environment comfort, allocating optimized proctor-to-candidate ratios, and hardening anti-cheating digital frameworks to prevent academic malpractice.

Concurrently, the Vice Chair of the Admissions Committee, Dr. Arif Rahman, presented the technical readiness dossier. He confirmed that administrative legal papers are fully cleared, and secretariat asset distribution has entered the final logistical stage.

On the technology front, the committee maintains real-time coordination with the Bureau of Academic Affairs (AAKK) and the Center for Information Technology and Databases (Pustipanda) to guarantee the cryptographic integrity of the testing servers and continuous uptime during the high-bandwidth digital examinations.

The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ahmad Tholabi, asserted that the institutional independent entrance exam carries a crucial geopolitical function beyond serving as the final gate in the annual admissions cycle. This specific platform grants the university full legal autonomy to execute structural affirmative actions targeting exceptional talent demographics that were not absorbed through standard nationwide quotas.

Through this internal matrix, UIN Jakarta systematically guarantees designated enrollment quotas for prospective students coming from underrepresented, frontier, and outermost rural territories (3T zones), candidates living with physical disabilities, alongside high-achieving applicants possessing specialized competencies such as advanced Arabic linguistics and verbatim Al-Qur'an memorization (hafiz).

"The institutional tract is strategically designed to operate as a vital affirmative space. It allows the university to provide concrete educational accessibility to applicants from marginalized 3T territories, accommodate special needs candidates, and recruit specialized religious scholars. These vital socio-educational equity measures can only be systematically institutionalized through our independent selection infrastructure," Prof. Tholabi concluded.
