Scouts of UIN Jakarta Will Form Saka Bakti Husada
Recorate, UIN News Online – In order to develop the interest of the students of the Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes) in the field of scouting and health sciences, the Gugus Depan Scout Movement 07.075/07.076 UIN Jakarta will form the Bakti Husada Work Unit (SBH). Work unit will be formed in stages until it becomes a new forum for scouting activities on campus. This was said by the Chairperson of the Gudep UIN Jakarta, Nanang Syaikhu, to UIN News Online at the Rectorate Building, Thursday (09/06/2022).
According to Nanang, the existence of SBH at UIN Jakarta will complement the existing membership of the Scout Movement, namely Pandega Scouts. This group gathers in a student organization called Dewan Racana Pandega (DRP).
“The DRP was initiated in 1986 and was only officially formed in 1989 at the same time as the establishment of Gudep UIN Jakarta,” said Nanang.
SBH at UIN Jakarta will have a base in Fikes as the center of its activities. However, the status of SBH remains part of the activities of the Gudep UIN Jakarta. In other words, every member of the SBH is an ex officio member of the DRP.
The principle, explained Nanang, is that SBH administratively remains under the Gudep as a controlling control. However, in terms of activities that are characterized by specificity, SBH is under the guidance of the National Scout Movement National SBH.
As a first step, the Gudep UIN Jakarta will first recruit prospective SBH members from the Fikes students. Once assembled, the SBH Work Unit Council (Dewan Saka) will then be formed.
The next stage, Gudep will arrange the management of the Saka Advisory Council (Mabi Saka), elements of the Pamong and Saka Instructors. Then the next step is to hold an official inauguration by the authorized SBH official.
“Meanwhile, SBH membership will focus on recruiting Fikes students who have knowledge in the health sector,” he said.
The students came from three study programs, namely Nursing Science, Public Health, and Pharmacy. If it is established, according to Nanang, it is possible to recruit from other students. Nanang added that the recruitment of new SBH members will start on June 10-23, 2022.
