Scouts of UIN Jakarta Make Donations to Orphan

Pondok Cabe, UIN News Online – A number of orphans and poor people in South Tangerang, received donation from the Scouts of UIN Jakarta. The donation and iftar event was held at the Yatim Cahaya Medina Foundation, Pondok Cabe Ilir, South Tangerang, Saturday (04/09/2022).

Donation was given to at least 30 orphans living in the orphanage. In addition to donations, the activity entitled "Semarak Ramadan" organized by UIN Jakarta Scouts and the Yayasan Yatim Cahaya Madinah also held various competitions, including the Azan, Tahfidz, and Coloring competitions.

The chairperson of Racana Pramuka UIN Jakarta Muhammad Rizaludin, said that the event was held in order to fill the Ramadhan 1443 H activity. The activity will last for a week on April 9-15, 2022.

“Another activity is in the form of distributing takjil to passersby,” he said.

He also hopes that the activity is expected to be a blessing for all, especially if it is held in the holy month.

Meanwhile, Rafiqoh, who represents the foundation's management, expressed her gratitude for the implementation of this activities. Se also hopes that the Semarak Ramadan activities will open up cooperation and kinship between the foundation and the Scout Movement of UIN Jakarta.

“Hopefully similar activities can be carried out again in the following years,” she hoped. (ns/ts/usa)
