Sandiaga Uno: Students Act as Drivers of Creative Economy Improvement

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – Students as the younger generation play a role as a driver in efforts to improve the creative economy. This was said by the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Uno, virtually at the final briefing for KKN 2022 UIN Jakarta titled “Penguatan Program Pengabdian Masyarakat yang Inovatif menuju Rekognisi Global” held at the Harun Nasution Auditorium, campus I of UIN Jakarta on Monday (07/25/2022).

On this occasion, he also encouraged students to have a leadership and entrepreneurial spirit by developing the attitude of successful young entrepreneurs, namely being active, risk takers, adaptive, and having soft skills.

“Through KKN, students are required to hone their soft skills by upskilling, reskilling, and newskilling. Don't forget to also increase your hard work, smart work, thorough work, and sincere work,” he said.

Furthermore, Sandiaga said that the creative economy is a new power of the national economy that is original, unique, renewable, and owned by each individual as its main resource. “I hope that UIN Jakarta students can become inspirational, solutive, and entrepreneurial individuals,” said Sandiaga.

On this occasion, Sandi congratulated the students in carrying out KKN. He hopes that his party can cooperate with UIN Jakarta through KKN in tourist villages and creative villages so that students can contribute to the development of tourism and economy in the village. (ns/dap/usa)
