Renowned UIN Jakarta Alumni Enliven Santri Summit Festival 2025
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News – The Santri Summit Festival 2025, held at the Harun Nasution Auditorium of UIN Jakarta on Sunday (June 29, 2025), was a vibrant and inspiring event. Carrying the theme "Santris' Contribution to the Nation," the activity featured a number of young alumni from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta who have made significant strides in various fields.
These alumni had the opportunity to share their experiences, knowledge, and offer motivation and insights to participants, who were students and santri (Islamic boarding school students) from various regions.
Here are some of the UIN Jakarta alumni figures who attended Santri Summit 2025:
From the health sector, an inspiring figure demonstrating santri contributions to the medical world and health education was dr. Elza Amelia, an alumna of UIN Jakarta's Faculty of Medicine and a recipient of the Outstanding Santri Scholarship (PBSB) from the Ministry of Religious Affairs. She was entrusted to serve as a Hajj Medical Worker (TKH) after completing her medical education, directly serving Indonesian pilgrims in the Holy Land, embodying a spirit of service born from the pesantren (Islamic boarding school) environment.
Still in the same field, Apt. Faqih Difran Hanif, an alumnus of UIN Jakarta's Pharmacy Study Program and Pharmacist Professional Program (2021 cohort), also shared his contributions through a digital approach. He is the founder of Bijak Obat (@bijakobat), an educational platform established in 2021. Through his creative content, Faqih actively educates the public, especially the younger generation, on rational drug use, the importance of health literacy, and healthy lifestyles.
Next, Apt. Rinaldi Nur Ibrahim, an alumnus of UIN Jakarta's Faculty of Health Sciences and a recipient of the second-best outstanding student award. Hailing from Bone, South Sulawesi, he is also known as the founder of Youth Ranger Indonesia (YRI), a youth organization that played a role in organizing this event.
In the digital era, santris are also taking on important roles as public communicators. This is evident from the work of Rian Fahardhi, an alumnus of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program (2022 cohort), widely known as Gen-Z President. He actively advocates for social and political issues through social media with a fresh and distinctive approach. His communication style, relevant to the younger generation, makes Rian a bridge between the pesantren world and modern public dialogue spaces.
Furthermore, El Alice, active in the fields of art and spirituality, was also present. El Alice is an alumna of the English Language Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Sciences, UIN Jakarta. She is now developing her career as a songwriter, religious singer, and spiritual activist who voices truth and goodness.
Meanwhile, M. Syaiful Muktapa, affectionately called Uta, is an alumnus of the Qur'anic Studies and Tafsir Study Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Jakarta. He holds a Certified Trainer Level 4 certificate from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) and began seriously pursuing public speaking in late 2019. Uta is known for his ability to deliver public speaking tips engagingly through easy-to-remember acronyms and abbreviations. Consequently, since 2020, he founded Bicarapede Academy, a platform for courses and training focused on developing public speaking and communication skills.
For information, UIN Jakarta is one of the State Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) with the largest number of alumni spread across various sectors. Some have founded institutions, led organizations, become educators, professionals, and are active as public figures at national and international levels.
