Remarkable Achievement: UIN Jakarta’s Social Studies Education Program Earns Excellent Accreditation

Rectorate Building, UIN Online News — The Social Studies Education Program (PIPS) at the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teacher Training (FITK) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has successfully obtained an Excellent accreditation status. This achievement is based on the official decree issued by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Education (LAMDIK) Number 1388/SK/LAMDIK/Ak/S/VIII/2025, valid from May 6, 2025, to May 5, 2030.

This milestone underscores the dedication and hard work of the entire academic community of the Social Studies Education Program in enhancing the quality of education, research, and community service. With an accreditation score of 381, the program further strengthens its position as one of the flagship study programs within UIN Jakarta.

UIN Jakarta Rector, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., expressed his gratitude and appreciation for this accomplishment.

“This Excellent Accreditation reflects our collective commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of education at UIN Jakarta. Congratulations to the Social Studies Education Program for their hard work and this remarkable achievement,” he remarked.

According to the Rector, this accomplishment is not only a source of pride for the Social Studies Education Program but also for the entire UIN Jakarta community.

“May this achievement further strengthen UIN Jakarta’s role as an excellent and competitive university that contributes meaningfully to the nation and the people,” he added.

Dean of FITK, Prof. Siti Nurul Azkiyah, M.Sc., Ph.D., emphasized that this success is the result of collective collaboration involving lecturers, academic staff, students, and alumni.

“We are grateful for the full support from the university. The score of 381 is not the end, but the beginning of further improving our academic and research services,” she .

Head of the Social Studies Education Program, Dr. Muhamad Arif, M.Pd., also shared his appreciation.

“Alhamdulillah, we are deeply grateful and delighted with this Excellent Accreditation. It is the result of hard work from our entire team and the full support of the university. This serves as new energy for us to continue innovating and delivering our best,” he said.

With this Excellent Accreditation status, FITK reaffirms its commitment to continuous innovation, quality assurance, and producing graduates who are not only intellectually and professionally competent but also embody strong Islamic values and possess global competitiveness. This achievement also serves as a motivation for the entire academic community to further enhance the quality of education, research, and community service.

It is worth noting that the Social Studies Education Program (Pendidikan IPS) is one of the study programs under the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teacher Training (FITK) at UIN Jakarta. Currently, the program offers four concentrations: Geographic Education, Economics, Sociology, and History.
