Rector: UIN Jakarta Recognized as the Moderate Campus by the World

SPs Auditorium, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta is a university that always upholds peace, tolerance and always be moderate in attitude, and has been recognized by the world. It was proved by many institutions who want to establish cooperation with UIN Jakarta.

This was conveyed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA during his remarks at the opening of public lecture, organized by SPs UIN Jakarta, entitled Refugees, Asylum, Hate and Hope: Muslim Identity in Turbulent, Multi-faith Europe, Thursday, (3/9), at Post Graduate School (SPs) UIN Jakarta Auditorium.

He also added that UIN Jakarta is always open to anyone who wants to learn about Islam and sciences. this is evidenced by the many foreign students who studied Islam and the culture of nusantara in UIN Jakarta.

“Our campus is a campus that has been internationally certified and recognized by the world as the leading and the most moderate Islamic university,” said Dede.

On the same occasion, Rector also introduce UIN Jakarta along with its officials to the keynote speaker and invited guests.

Present as the keynote speaker in this public lecture, the Deputy Rector of Coventry University, England Prof Richard Dashwood, accompanied by Coventry University representative consultant in Indonesia Yanti Amran.

Also present in the event, the Head of UIN Jakarta Senate Prof Dr Atho Mudzhar, Director of SPs UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Masykuri Abdillah, the Head of Master Program of SPs UIN Jakarta Prof Dr JM Muslimin and the Head of Doctoral Program of SPs UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Didin Saepudin.

For Information, in the event that attended by civitas academica of SPs UIN Jakarta, not only holds a public lecture alone, but also the signing of a memorandum of understanding between UIN Jakarta and Coventry University related to the scientific development in both institutions. (usa)
