Rector Targets Harvard Style Ivy League Synergy to Fuel UIN Jakarta Global Competitive Posture

JAKARTA, UIN Online News – Closing the high-profile IKALUIN Award 2026, the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Professor Asep Saepudin Jahar, Ph.D., called for a radical restructuring of alumni-university collaboration. Speaking before international panel judges, state policy makers, and generational alumni networks, Rector Jahar stated that top-tier global university governance must be anchored by a powerful, self-sustaining alumni ecosystem.

The grand award ceremony, which coincided with the university's 69th Founding Anniversary, marked the deep institutional maturity of UIN Jakarta as it evolved from its historical foundations as ADIA and IAIN into an elite-tier global research powerhouse.

In his strategic address, Rector Jahar challenged the massive alumni diaspora to look at the operational blueprints of the world's most prestigious Ivy League institutions, specifically highlighting how Harvard University maintains its global dominance.

"The world's greatest universities do not expand in isolation; they are heavily sustained by the active, structured intervention of their alumni networks," Rector Jahar asserted. "Elite global institutions thrive because their graduates aggressively back the alma mater through advanced scientific collaborations, venture capital entrepreneurship loops, international resource networking, and massive endowment funds for next-generation student scholarships."

Rector Jahar noted that the IKALUIN Award 2026 is an essential operational vehicle to cement this corporate synergy. The assembly served as an empirical validation of the real-world impact generated by graduates who are translating classical academic theories into localized human-centric solutions.

To prove the immediate efficacy of this collaborative infrastructure, the Rector highlighted UIN Jakarta’s historic leap in global university metrics, most notably capturing the 29th position worldwide in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for Theology, Divinity, and Religious Studies.

"This unprecedented international ranking surge is not the victory of a single academic board," the Rector declared. "It is the direct, aggregated result of synchronized hard work between our internal faculty, corporate partners, and our global alumni diaspora who constantly validate UIN Jakarta's academic rigor on the world stage."

Rector Jahar urged all graduates to utilize this global momentum as fuel to scale their transnational handprints. He called for immediate, concrete action in setting up collaborative frameworks focused on high-velocity scientific research, tech-startup incubators, and securing elite international fellowship pipelines.

Concluding his address, the Rector delivered his highest institutional commendation to the ten laureates of the IKALUIN Award 2026, alongside expressing profound gratitude to the central panel judges, corporate sponsors, and organizing committees who engineered the majestic execution of the global summit.
