Rector reminded all professors to actively write scientific papers
Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis reminded lecturers, especially professors, at UIN Jakarta to fulfill their obligation to write scientific papers published in international journals. In addition to meeting applicable regulations, writing scientific papers also encourages research activities in the UIN Jakarta environment.
This was said by the Rector in her speech at the Inauguration of Professor Ali Munhanif and Professor Amelia Fauzia on Wednesday (01/06/2021). “We remind all professors and lecturers about the obligation of Permenristek Dikti regarding the publication of scientific works,” she said.
Referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Research and Technology and Higher Education Number 20 Year 2017 concerning Lecturer Professional Allowances and Honorary Professors' Allowances, lecturers have the obligation to publish their scientific work.
Lecturers with the academic rank of Associate Professor, for example, have the obligation to produce at least three scientific papers published in accredited national journals. This obligation can be replaced by at least one scientific work published in an international journal, patent, or monumental design-art work, within three years.
Meanwhile, lecturers with the academic rank of professors have the obligation to produce at least three scientific papers published in international journals. This obligation can be replaced by at least one scientific work published in a reputable international journal, patent, or monumental artwork / monumental design, within three years.
On the other hand, Rector Amany also said that UIN Jakarta is an Islamic religious university with superior resources for the rank of professor. The Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs in the 2020 Islamic Religious Higher Education Appreciation forum (ADIKTIS) at the end of December placed UIN Jakarta as an Islamic Religious College with the Most Professors.
