Rector officially send-off the UIN Jakarta scout contingent
Rectorate, UIN News Online – The Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis officially send off the XV National Wirakarya Camp for Religious Higher Education (PWN XV PTK) contingent at the Harun Nasution Auditorium, Monday (11/08/2021).
The send-off ceremony was marked by the contingent flag handover from the Rector Amany Lubis to the Vice Rector for Student Affairs Arief Subhan as the contingent leader. Also present in the event, the Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Cooperation (AAKK Bureau) chief Jaenuddin and the Head Student Affairs division of UIN Jakarta Ikhwan.
Rector Amany Lubis in his speech advised the PWN XV PTK participants to always be disciplined and maintain health protocols while participating in activities.
According to Rector Amany, the PWN XV PTK activity was very productive because it was attended by students who were studying at the tertiary level. The role of students on the one hand and the role of scouting on the other hand must synergize in order to realize the Three Pillars of Higher Education, namely education and teaching, research, and community service.
On the same occasion, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Arief Subhan said that in this activity UIN Jakarta sent 23 people consisting of 20 participants, two assistant coaches, and a contingent leader.
He also added that participants will be divided into two activity locations. A total of eight participants will take part in offline activities in Palembang and 12 participants will take part in an virtual event which will be held in the Syahida Inn, Ciputat.
Activities during PWN XV PTK consist of community service and increasing self-capacity, both in physical and non-physical forms. The activity will be centered in the Jakabaring Sport City and its surroundings area as well as the UIN Palembang campus.
PWN XV PTK will be held in Palembang on 9-14 November 2021 and will be attended by approximately 800 participants from 58 PTK in Indonesia. The biennial event was organized by the Ministry of Religion and was carried out by UIN Raden Fatah Palembang as the host.
The forms of activities are physical and non-physical, such as planting trees, repairing madrasas, worship facilities, and developing religious and national insights and scouting. The activity will also break Muri's record in the form of the most religious moderation rhymes made by the participants.
According to the plan, PWN XV PTK will be officially opened by Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qaumas and attended by Deputy Minister of Religion Zainut Tauhid, Chairman of the Scout Movement Kwarnas Budi Waseso, and Governor of South Sumatra Herman Daru. (usa/ns)
