Rector officially opened the virtual PBAK ceremony

NICT, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis officially open the virtual student orientation period (PBAK) 2021 for 2021/2022 academic year at the National Information and Communication Technology (NICT) Building on Tuesday (08/24/2021).

By raising the theme on  “Membangun Ilmu dan Peradaban Islam yang Toleran, Seimbang, Jujur, dan Adil”, this event also attended by Vice Rectors, Deans, Deputy Deans for Student Affairs, AAKK Bureau Chief Jaenudin, and AUK Bureau Chief Kastolan.

Also present in the event, Chairwoman of the University Student Senate (Sema), the Student Executive Council (Dema) Pebri Nurhayati and representatives from various student organizations.

In her remarks, Rector encourages the new student to maximize their academic and self-potential, learning ethos, and foreign language skills.

“Although we have not been able to meet in person, but with today's meeting, we can get to know each other. Insha Allah, we can grow together because we are one family, one institution, and one alma mater,” said Rector Amany.

AAKK Bureau Chief, Jaenudin, stated the PBAK for the 2021/2022 academic year was attended by 7,265 new students who had officially received a Student Identification Number (NIM). The details are, FITK (1,454 new students), FAH (749 new students), FU (587 new students), FSH (764 new students), FIDK (910 new students), FDI (181 new students), FPsi (238 new students), FST (748 new students), FEB (785 new students), FISIP (400 new students), FIKES (336 new students), and FK (113 new students).

According to the schedule, PBAK will last for four days until August 27. PBAK's main material contains general insights about UIN Jakarta, academic policies, student development, and cooperation and institutional development. At the faculty level, material on the faculty, department, and student organization will be given. (usa/ns/rk/rtd)
