Rector of UIN Jakarta sent off PWK XIV Scout Contingent
Uni Club, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof Dr Dede Rosyada is about to sent off the scout contingent from UIN Jakarta who participate Perkemahan Wirakarya Nasional (PWN) XIV Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan (PTK) in Pekanbaru, Riau. The ceremonial event was held in Uni Club, campus I of UIN Jakarta, Friday (04/27/2018). Also present in the event, AUK Bureau chief Rudi Subiyantoro and PK Bureau Chief Subarja.
Rector in his speech congratulated the PW PTK participants. He also advised participants to gain valuable experience during the event.
“At the event, you will not only devote yourself to the community, but you will also meet new friends from various regions in Indonesia. Therefore, you should be able to provide a good example for other participants,” said Rector.
This year, the contingent of UIN Jakarta sent 30 people, consisting of 20 participants, four coaches, one contingent leader, and five observers. The contingent will depart for Pekanbaru on May 2, 2018, and return on May 11, 2018.
According to the plan, PW will be inaugurated by Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin and attended by the Chairman of the National Kwartir Adhyaksa Dault.
PW activities will be held in two locations, UIN Pekanbaru campus for basecamp and Kampar district for homestay locations, including Limau Manis Village (Kampar District), Alam Panjang Village (Rumbio Jaya Sub-district), Aur Sati Village (Kecamatan Mine), and Okura Tebing Tinggi Village (Rumbai Pesisir Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City), and will focus on community empowerment program through the development of eco-cultural tourism.
