Rector of UIN Jakarta: Sacrifice as the Peak of Human Dedication in Seeking the Contentment From Allah SWT

Ciputat, UIN News Online - Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., conveyed greetings and a message in anticipation of the Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijri celebration.

In a video posted on UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta's official YouTube channel on Sunday (16/06/2024), the Rector urged the entire academic community and the public to reflect deeply on the profound meaning of the sacrifice story of Prophet Ibrahim Alaihissalam.

Prof. Asep invited all members of the academic community and the wider society to contemplate the significance of sacrifice embedded in the Eid al-Adha celebration as the pinnacle of human dedication in seeking the Contentment from Allah SWT.

Additionally, Prof. Asep expressed his hope that Eid al-Adha would not merely be an annual ritual, but would lead us all towards maturity and greater strength in emulating the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim Alaihissalam.

Prof. Asep emphasized that the spirit of sacrifice should always be upheld and practiced in daily life as a form of dedication to religion, country, and nation. By embodying the spirit of Eid al-Adha, we demonstrate a commitment to not only pursue personal interests but also prioritize collective interests for the welfare and progress of the nation.
