Rector of UIN Jakarta Receives File Verification Results of 17 New Rector Candidates

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis received file verification results of 17 new Rector candidates for the period of 2023-2027. The verification results were submitted directly to Rector Amany by the Chairperson of the Screening Committee Afwan Faizin on Wednesday (09/28/2022) at Rectorate building, campus I of UIN Jakarta.

In addition to the verification result files, the committee also submitted one sealed container box containing the administrative requirements of each applicant.

She also added that all registration files for rector candidates as well as one box container containing the files of each candidate will be submitted to the Senate of UIN Jakarta. Referring to the schedule, the submission of all files will be carried out on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

The university senate will later hold a senate meeting to provide qualitative considerations for the rector candidates. Qualitative considerations are carried out from September 30 to October 10, 2022.

On October 11, the rector candidates' files will be sent to the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs (Menag). Afterward, Menag will form a Selection Committee (Pansel) for the election of the Rector to select three people from the total proposed by the Senate. One of the three candidates will then be appointed as Rector.

“Hopefully all processes can run smoothly according to the plan for the progress of UIN Jakarta,” she said.

Meanwhile, the Selection Committee for New Rector Candidates has determined 17 candidates for UIN Jakarta Chancellor for the 2023-2027 period. The 17 prospective candidates consist of:
