Rector of UIN Jakarta Inaugurated New Student Organization Officials

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA inaugurated the new Student Organization Officials, Monday, (2/5), at Harun Nasution Auditorium, campus I of UIN Jakarta.

The newly inaugurated official consists of Student Senate (SEMA), Student Executive Council (DEMA), along with another Student Activity Unit (UKM), namely Riak Music Community, Syahid Theatre, Kalacitra Photography, Ranita, Arkadia, LPM Institut, Campus Da’wah Institution (LDK) Syahid, Foreign Languages Association (FLAT), Kopma, Student Choir, Student Sport Federation , Student Regiment, Indonesian Red Cross Volunteer Corps, Marching Band, and Qari / qariah Association.

Rector in his remark said, through the student organization, students are not only required to think critically but also to improve their communication skills

"What's more important is how students have the ability to work with other parties or with everyone," said Rector.

Rector asserted, through student organizations, students can train themselves in various areas of skills according to their talent and interests. However, they need to keep the balance of their skills and their scientific knowledge.

"Especially for student organizations that develop linguistic skill, such as Flat Bahasa, I hope they can develop foreign language skills for others as well by providing various types of training" said Rector. (usa)
