Rector of IMSIU visit UIN Jakarta

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Rector of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ahmed bin Salem bin Mohammed Al-Ameri conducts a visit to UIN Jakarta, Tuesday (02/25/2020). In addition to his visit, Al-Ameri also delivered a public lecture on the challenges of education and opportunities for academic collaboration between the IMSIU and UIN Jakarta.

His visit was warmly welcomed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, accompanied by Vice Rectors, faculty Deans, and leaders in the rectorate office of UIN Jakarta.

In his presentation, Al-Ameri expressed his expressed his hope to strengthen its academic collaboration with UIN Jakarta. Al-Ameri also offers opportunities for students and lecturers of UIN Jakarta to continue their study at IMSIU. In addition to scholarships, he said, IMSIU also ready to provide higher education with the best curriculum in various fields of Islamic studies and science.

“We are committed to provide the best quality of education. Hopefully this collaboration can produce a better future generation,” said Al-Ameri.

In response, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis welcomed the academic collaboration initiative between the two universities. According to Amany, both IMSIU and UIN Jakarta has the same concern, which is encouraging Islamic studies and science.

Aside from Islamic studies, she continued, UIN Jakarta also offers secular study programs. There are 12 faculties and graduate schools that offer a variety of courses that combines the integration of Islam and science.

In its development, she added, UIN Jakarta requires partnerships with various universities and other institutions. “Therefore, it is an honor for us to have a visit from the leadership of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University.
