Rector: The Large Number of Professors Strengthen the Scientific Tradition of UIN Jakarta

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – The presence of professors in various fields of science in the faculties and study programs is believed to strengthen the scientific tradition of UIN Jakarta. Therefore, UIN Jakarta is committed to continuing the professor acceleration program.

This was said by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis in her speech during the inauguration of two new professors, Wednesday (09/14/2022) held at The Harun Nasution Auditorium, campus I of UIN Jakarta. “Their presence can create optimism in strengthening UIN Jakarta,” said Rector.

The addition of professors at UIN Jakarta, said the Chancellor, continues to record significant results. In 2020, UIN Jakarta succeeded in adding 12 professors and 16 professors in 2021. So, the total professors in UIN Jakarta currently reach 82 people.

In strengthening the scientific tradition through the presence of these professors, continued the Chancellor, UIN Jakarta is committed to continuing the professor's acceleration program. This year, UIN Jakarta through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) will hold a Coaching Clinic and Professor Acceleration program in September-October 2022.

Therefore, Rector Amany hopes that the lecturers at UIN Jakarta to continue or complete their doctoral education. "Doctoral level education is one of the main prerequisites for UIN Jakarta lecturers to achieve an academic career as professors," she said

Rector also reminded the professors to conduct various academic research and publish their scientific works in both accredited national journals and accredited international journals.

“Within three years, professors are required to have scientific papers published in national scientific journals, reputable international journals, or other monumental works,” she concluded. (zm/usa)
