Rector invites students to become a good role model in society

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis invites all students to become a good role model in society. Therefore, Therefore, students must play an important role and contribute through community service.

This was said by Amany in her virtual speech during the briefing of community service (KKN) program for 2020/2021 academic year, Wednesday (03/24/2021). Present in the event, the head of LP2M Jajang Jahroni and the head of LPM UIN Jakarta Kamarusdiana.

Rector Amany said, as campus intellectuals, students must always be at the forefront to provide positive examples for society and their environment. The role of students is seen as indispensable in solving various problems faced by the community.

“Students must also cooperate with each other and must be able to establish good communication with everyone,” said Rector Amany.

She also emphasized that students have a social and intellectual role. Therefore, this community service program is also an effort to assist the state in building society through the social and intellectual roles of students.

“UIN Jakarta will continue to encourage and increase the capacity of its students to have a social and intellectual role in building society, nation and state,” she said.

On the same occasion, the head of LP2M UIN Jakarta Jajang Jahroni said that students who carry out KKN activities during this pandemic must be able to develop their constructive ideas for community development.

Separately, the head of PPM UIN Jakarta Kamarusdiana said, the Community Service Program during the pandemic was held independently in their respective residences (KKN DR) and attended by around 4,600 participants who were divided into 230 groups and scattered in various regions in Indonesia.

Apart from KKN DR, PPM also held KKN In Campus through by involving them in various work units at UIN Jakarta. This KKN model aims to develop students' interests and talents according to their respective fields of expertise. (usa/ns)
