Rector: In-campus community service will support the employee’s performance

Diorama Room, UIN News Online – The Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis stated that the practice of In-campus community service would contribute significantly to the employee’s performance at UIN Jakarta. Participants not only learn about the world of work on campus but can also apply the knowledge gained during their study time.

“They can work in accordance with their expertise and will help employees in handling their routine tasks in the office,” said Rector after the In-campus KKN release ceremony held at Diorama room, campus I of UIN Jakarta, Thursday (01/09/2020).

According to the Rector, the In-campus community service is the same as other Community Service Community in general, namely how students can apply the knowledge gained in college. The difference is that KKN In Campus is more oriented to more specific expertise. However, in KKN In Campus students can also do it in a cross-disciplinary manner.

“Students can even learn more about the world of work, especially in the world of bureaucracy,” said Amany.

On this campus, she added, students will gain a lot of insights, experiences, and new knowledge about the alma mater itself.

To the KKN participants who will conduct work practices at the UIN Jakarta campus, the Chancellor reminded them to be able to adapt to the work environment in their respective units.

Meanwhile, the Head of PPM UIN Jakarta Kamarusdiana said that In-campus Community Service Program is a form of community service for students, which aims to provide practical experience about the world of work, especially in the world of campus bureaucracy.

In addition to the In Campus Community Service model, PPM also organizes Regular Community Service Community programs as well as National Community Service Program and International Community Service Program.

“The international community service program can be done independently or through sponsors,” he said.

For information, In Campus Community Service Program will last for approximately three months, starting from January 9 to March 31. The participants were distributed in various work units of UIN Jakarta, such as rectorates, faculties, and institutions. (usa/ns)
