Rector encourages FAH to open the French language and literature class

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – In order to strengthen the foreign language skills for UIN Jakarta’s academic community, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis encourages the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Jakarta to open French language classes.

This was conveyed by the Rector at the opening of the ASEAN goes to campus event, which organized by Student Council (DEMA) of Adab and Humanities faculty and ASEAN community, Monday (03/18/2019) at Harun Nasution Auditorium, campus I of UIN Jakarta.

According to Amany, students must continue to practice foreign language skills, especially English, Arabic and French. Therefore, it is also necessary to open French classes.

“We encourage the Adab and Humanities Faculties to open French language and literature class. This is due to the fact that French language has become international languages that need to be mastered,” said Amany.

Additionally, Rector also introduced introduced UIN Jakarta to the invited guests, including the speakers from ASEAN community. According to Rector, UIN Jakarta has five campuses that are spread across several regions.

“It was all provided to facilitate various teaching and learning activities, and as a means in developing the talents of UIN Jakarta students,” said Rector.

For information, there are three speakers invited to the event, they are Romeo A. Arca Jr. (Assistant Director, Community Relations Division, Community & Corporate Affairs Department, ASEAN Secretariat), Yacinta Esti Wulan Wahyu Jati (Project Manager of the ASEAN Farmer Organizations Support Program), and Larasati Indrawagita (Senior Officer of Education, Youth, and Sports Division, ASEAN Secretariat).
