Rector: collaboration between UIN Jakarta and DPR RI needs to be enhanced
Bogor, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis encourages the collaboration between UIN Jakarta and the DPR RI to be enhanced in the future. In addition to the socialization of legislation, conferences and training, cooperation can be emphasized through internship programs and student surveys as well as the involvement of lecturers in the field of law and legislation.
This was said by Rector Amany during coordination and evaluation meeting between the DPR RI secretariat and a number of university leaders in Bogor on Monday, (02/22/2021). “The cooperation of UIN Jakarta through a number of faculties such as the Faculty of Sharia and Law and various other faculties, is expected to be improved in the coming years,” she said.
Rector also explained that since 2015, UIN Jakarta and the DPR RI have collaborated intensely. For the 2015-2019 period, for example, the two institutions collaborated to provide 12 batches of legal drafting technical guidance with a total of 3000 participants.
Furthermore, in the 2019-2020 period, the two institutions collaborated to provide five batches with a total of 2000 participants, and two batches with a total of 700 participants since the beginning of 2021.
In the future, continued the Chancellor, the cooperation is expected to be continued by involving students and lecturers. In this collaboration, students can be given the opportunity to do internships and research at the DPR RI.
“In addition to the diploma, UIN Jakarta students are also given a Diploma Supplement or SKPI which records their achievements and experiences during their study period,” said Rector.
Meanwhile, the involvement of lecturers, she added, can be done by involving them in legal research, academic papers drafting, community service, socializing legislation and other activities,” she added. (usa/zm/mi)
