Rector Amany Lubis officiated the opening of Cath Lab at Hajj Hospital of UIN Jakarta
Jakarta, UIN News Online – Rector Amany Lubis officiated the opening of Cardiac Catheterization Services (cath lab) at Hajj Hospital of UIN Jakarta in Pondok Gede, East Jakarta, Monday (02/14/2022). The inauguration ceremony was marked by ribbon cutting ceremony.
In addition to the cath lab service, Rector Amany also officiated the opening of PCR and Antigen drive thru service as well as an online patient registration administration services through the Independent Registration Pavilion (APM).
Also present in the event, Vice Rector for General Administration Ahmad Rodoni, Acting Director of UIN Jakarta Hajj Hospital Hari Hendarto, President Director of Bank Mega Syariah (BMS) Yuwono Waluyo, Business Group Head of BMS Business Rasmoro Pramono Aji, and the board of directors of Hajj Hospital.
Rector in her speech greatly appreciated the opening of the Cardiac Catheterization service innovation at the Haji Hospital. This innovation is a step forward for Hajj Hospital in providing excellent services to the community. Through this new service innovation, added the Rector, it will certainly make it easier for people who want to seek treatment.
“We hope that the Hajj Hospital can continue to innovate in providing services to the people, both as a general hospital, especially for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, as well as an education hospital,” said Rector Amany.
Currently, according to the Rector, the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs continues to encourage the development of all state Islamic religious universities (PTKIN) in Indonesia. In fact, all PTKIN are also expected to have halal study institute, especially for those who have clinics or medicine faculties and faculties of health sciences.
On the same occasion, Acting Director of UIN Jakarta Hajj Hospital Hari Hendarto said that the cause of death by cardiovascular diseases in Indonesia currently ranks second after infectious diseases.
Therefore, according to Hari, the opening of the Cardiac Catheterization service (cath lab) at UIN Jakarta Hajj Hospital is one of the efforts to treat patients who are indicated to have cardiovascular disease. The main target is the elderly who will go on pilgrimage and Umrah.
“We must realize that many of the pilgrims for Hajj and Umrah are dominated by the elderly. So, through the Cardiac Catheterization service at the Hajj Hospital, it is hoped that it will make it easier for pilgrims to check and get treatment for their cardiovascular disease,” said Hari who also serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta.
