Meanwhile the chairman of KMPLHK Ranita Firman Ahmad said, the wall climbing arena in front of the Rectorate building has now been completely renovated. Improvements were made so that the sports facilities can be used optimally, both for routine training activities and for competitions.
Firman said that the wall climbing arena was one of the media to train the Ranita Rescue Team to have expertise and skills in disaster management as a response to various disasters that have recently occurred in many areas, such as earthquakes, floods, and landslides. Apart from going directly to the disaster areas, Ranita is also active in raising humanitarian funds on campus and in the community.
“Insha Allah, we will always be committed to providing assistance to people who are stricken by disaster,” he said.
Firman also added that KMPLHK Ranita's wall climbing arena was the first in Indonesia with the Vertical Rescue Training Center facility. This is expected to be an added value for UIN Jakarta as a campus icon in the future.
“This facility can even become a medium for cooperation with other agencies in the field of humanitarian action,” he added. (usa/ns)
