Realizing the Green Campus Program, KPA-ARKADIA Create Biopore Infiltration Holes
Literacy Park, UIN News Online – Biopore Infiltration Holes is a technology to increase the absorption of rainwater into the soil. In addition, biopore is also one of the efforts to support UIN Jakarta in realizing a green campus program.
On this basis, KPA-ARKADIA UIN Jakarta socialized and initiated the manufacture of biopores in the UIN Jakarta campus through an activity entitled KPA ARKADIA Bio Camp which which was held on October 14-22 2022.
The activity was marked by making biopore holes at the Literacy Park, Campus I of UIN Jakarta on Friday (10/14/2022) which was symbolically carried out by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis accompanied by Head of General Affairs Division Imam Thobroni and Sub-Division Head of Student Affairs Yulia Handayani, and witnessed by KPA-ARKADIA students.
Rector Amany in her remarks appreciated and expressed her support for the ARKADIA KPA initiative. According to Amany, the KPA ARKADIA initiative will accelerate the UIN Jakarta program in realizing the green campus program.
“I support the implementation of the Green Campus program, one of which is the manufacture of biopore which can increase plant fertility, absorb water and prevent flooding,” said Amany.
It is known, the green campus program is an effort to preserve the campus environment. In addition to encouraging the planting of green trees, this program is implemented by using resources in the campus environment effectively and efficiently, such as waste management and others.
Meanwhile, according to the chair of organizing comittee Muhammad Husni Mubarak, biopore is one of the efforts in maintaining the campus environment.
“Our motivation in carrying out this activity is clear evidence of our support in optimizing the Green Campus goals at UIN Jakarta,” he said.
Husni also hopes that students can be more sensitive to the natural environment. “It is hoped that students can be more sensitive to the environment, because there are still many students who do not know the various benefits of this biopore,” said Husni. (df/fa/zm/usa)
