Ranita UIN Jakarta wins the international Global Digital Story Telling Competition

Rectorate, UIN News OnlineKelompok Mahasiswa Pecinta Lingkungan Hidup dan Kemanusiaan (KMPLHK)Ranita UIN Jakarta managed to win the international Global Digital Story Telling competition which was announced on December 18, 2021. The competition, entitled “World Food Day 2021”, was held by the Tay Juhana Foundation Jakarta, a non-profit organization that works in the field of food advocacy.

Based on Ranita's press release received by UIN News Online, Tuesday (01/04/2022), the competition was made in the form of a video with a duration of approximately five minutes. The background of the story is taken from the results of Ranita's 2019 expedition in the Ciptagelar Traditional Village, Sirnaresmi Village, Cisolok District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

“In the competition, Ranita raised the issue of the local-wisdom agri-food system in Sirnaresmi Village,” said the Release.

In the competition, Ranita sent a team, consisting of Sindy Indah as a scriptwriter, Gandhur Satriyo as an editor, and Feby Nur as a presenter. On December 10, 2021, Ranita's team was selected as a finalist along with other participants from New Zealand.

Then when it was announced on December 18, 2021, Ranita's team become the 1st winner with a total prize of 500 US dollars. (ns/usa)
