RANITA UIN Jakarta Assists Landslide Victims in Pamijahan, Bogor

Rectorate, UIN News Online – KMPLHK Ranita UIN Jakarta dispatched its four personnel to assist landslide victims in Cibunian Village, Bogor Regency.

Chairman of Ranita, Ammar Abdul, in Ranita's press release on Monday (06/27/2022) said the four dispatched members were Yogi Handika, Elang Ilham, Nida Luthfyana, and Desra Putri. He also explained that they would focus on two activities, namely evacuating residents and field assessments. They joined other volunteer teams, such as the Regional Basarnas and the Bogor Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPB).

“As an organization that respond to humanitarian issues, we are very responsive in responding to disasters that occur and immediately provide the necessary assistance,” he said.

He also added that Ranita is currently opening donations to help the recovery of communities affected by the landslide. Further information can be seen on @ranita_uin Instagram account.

As is known, landslides and floods hit Cibunian Village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency, on Wednesday 22 June 2022. As a result, a number of residents' houses were damaged and two bridges connecting residents were broken. Landslides and floods hit six villages in the village, namely Pondok Gomong Village RT 02 RW 17, Muara Village RT 02 RW 01, Cumanggu Village RW 13, Bandara Jaya Village RW 09, Bajakan Village RW 07, and Rawa Village RW 12. Separately, the head of Student Affairs division of UIN Jakarta Ikhwan expressed his gratitude to Ranita for providing a quick respond to the flood and landslide disaster in Cibunian, Pamijahan, Bogor.
