Rakerpim 2022, UIN Jakarta will strengthen Internationalization program

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Internationalization program of UIN Jakarta will become main agenda of the Leadership Working Meeting (Rakerpim) in Bogor on 7-9 March 2022. Among these programs are international networks development and study programs accreditation.

This was stated by the Chair of the 2022 Rakerpim Committee, Jajang Jahroni to UIN NEWS Online at the Rectorate Building, Thursday (02/10/2022). “The main focus of the 2022 Rakerpim agenda is to strengthen the achievements of UIN Jakarta as an international Islamic university,” he said.

According to Jajang, there is an urgent need for international programs to be carried out so UIN Jakarta is able to achieve global recognition. This is in accordance with the theme carried by the 2022 Rakerpim, namely “Mewujudkan Inovasi dan Transformasi UIN Jakarta untuk Rekognisi Global”.

The theme, he said, is very relevant to the ideals and ideas of UIN Jakarta which wants to become an international Islamic university. This idea will be achieved by strengthen its international-oriented academic work programs.

“Among these programs is the internationalization of study programs. We will determine which study programs at UIN Jakarta to be internationally accredited,” said Jajang.

Jajang also added, the 2022 Rakerpim will also discuss various strategies for developing international networks. Among them are through various cooperation schemes with a number of well-known universities and other international institutions.

Therefore, he said, before the main Rakerpim event in Bogor, the committee will invite a number of experts, both from academia, the business world and the bureaucracy to provide any input and share their experiences at the Pre Rakerpim event that will be held at Syahida Inn Ciputat on 1-2 March 2022 in the form of seminars and discussions.

Meanwhile at the Maih Rakerpim event in Bogor on 7-9 March 2022, the invited speakers were Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, Rector of Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta Panut Mulyono, Secretary General of the Ministry of Religion Nizar Ali, and Director General of Islamic Education Ministry of Religion Muhammad Ali Ramdhani.

“"We hope that all components of UIN Jakarta can contribute to the success of the 2022 Rakerpim, both the committee, participants and other supporting elements,” he said. (ns/usa)
