Rakerpim 2018: Transforming Into a World Class University

Bandung, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA officially opened the Board of Leader Meeting (Rakerpim) 2018 at el Royale Hotel, Bandung, West Java, Sunday, (1/21/2018). The meeting entitled “Transforming into a World Class University” will last for 2 days (1/ 22-23) and attended by all leaders of UIN Jakarta.

In his remarks, Rector said that the theme is deliberately chosen in order to confirm the effort of UIN Jakarta to become a university recognized by the world.

“This describes the efforts of UIN Jakarta to be part of a university recognized by the world community, starting from research and scientific works, lecturers, students and alumni, as well as its institution,” he said.

He also added that there are several things that should be considered for UIN Jakarta to successfully transform into a World Class University (WCU), “Among them are the number of accredited Journals, UIN Jakarta will continue to pursue the number of accredited Journals for the achievement of WCU,” he added.

Furthermore, Rector also asked the lecturers to start utilizing UIN Jakarta lecturers’ blog in delivering the learning material for their students.

“The compilation of lecturer’s writings on their respective blogs then will be taken and published in the form of e-textbook, along with its ISBN,” he said.

This event is scheduled to present several speakers, among them are Dr Pepen Arifin (LPM ITB, Bandung), Prof Dr Kamaruddin Amin (Director General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs). Governor of West Java, H Ahmad Heryawan Lc., M.Si (Kang Aher) also scheduled to attend this event. (usa)
