Queen’s university professor gives training on research proposal

FEB, UIN News Online – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and Center for International Cooperation (CIC) UIN Jakarta facilitates workshop on research proposal writing for lecturer and student of FEB UIN Jakarta by inviting Margaret Topping from the Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland as the speaker on Tuesday (02/26/2020), held at FEB building of UIN Jakarta.

Also present in the event, Vice Rector for Cooperation Andi Faisal Bakti, the Head of CIC UIN Jakarta Dadi Darmadi, and the Head of FEB Doctoral degree program Euis Amalia.

In her presentation, Margaret explains the importance of good research planning. Starting from the proposal idea, determining the research topic, as well as mapping the problems to be answered in the research. She also reminded that the preparation of good research proposals took place in all types of research

“In addition to writing a dissertation, a good proposal also applies to regular research,” she said.

On the same occasion, Vice Rector for Cooperation Andi Faisal Bakti said that the leadership of UIN Jakarta always positively responds to every academic activity by presenting expert speakers from across continents. According to Andi, this activity is expected to foster global academic interaction between UIN Jakarta and international academics.

“Moreover, this activity is one of UIN Jakarta's efforts in achieving global recognition,” he added.

Separately, the Head if CIC UIN Jakarta Dadi Darmadi also added that this activity is one of the endeavors that must be achieved in strengthening the research culture. He also added this activity is carried out within the framework of the visiting professor program along with various other academic activities.

“We want to contribute by facilitating international workshop activities that will provide a positive impact for UIN Jakarta academics, both in the context of individual research or collaborative research with international researchers,” said Dadi. (usa/zm)
