Puslitpen UIN Jakarta socializes the 2022 research grants
Rectorate, UIN News Online – The center for research and publication (Puslitpen) UIN Jakarta socializes the 2022 on Thursday (01/13/2022). This year, the Puslitpen UIN Jakarta opens registration for research grants early so that researchers can carry out their research activities for a longer period of time.
The virtual socialization activity was attended by hundreds of lecturers and opened directly by the Rector UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis MA. Also present in the event, Vice Rectors, chairman of the Institute For Research and Community Service (LP2M) UIN Jakarta Jajang Jahroni, Head of Research Center of UIN Jakarta Imam Subchi, and Research Coordinator of Research Center Maila Dinia Husni Rahiem.
In his presentation, Imam revealed that Puslitpen opened research registration early so that lecturers could have more time in conducting research in order to present research results with maximum quality.
“So that the research output, in the form of publications, can be submitted immediately to the intended journal according to their respective clusters,” said Imam.
After the socialization in the 2nd week of January 2022, Puslitpen itself provides an opportunity for applicants for research grants to submit their proposals through the Litapdimas website starting from the 2nd week to the 4th week of January. Puslitpen then scheduled the announcement of grant recipients in the last week of February.
The recipients will be able to conduct research from March to July 2022. Then in July and August, researchers are required to present research results and submit a final report. During the research period, the researchers will receive monitoring and evaluation from the appointed team.
Meanwhile, UIN Jakarta itself has allocated a research grant budget for 2022 of up to IDR 7 billion, a significant increase from IDR 4 billion the previous year. These funds are channeled in four research clusters provided.
The first cluster is development and capacity research with a nominal grant of IDR 20 million each. The output of this cluster is the publication of a minimum Sinta 6-4 accredited journal.
Furthermore, the basic interdisciplinary research cluster with a grant value of IDR 40 million per research title. The output of this cluster is the publication of a minimum Sinta 3-4 accredited journal.
Then, the higher education development research cluster with a grant value of Rp. 60 million per research title. The output of this cluster is the publication of a minimum Sinta 2-1 accredited journal.
Finally, collaborative research clusters between universities. The outputs of this cluster are draft articles for indexed international journals and books.
On the same occasion, Rector Amany hopes that with the increase in the research budget, the quality and quantity of research at UIN Jakarta will be will be maintained properly. Various dynamics in the realm of science along with the pandemic are important to be studied more deeply. Therefore, she continued, it is hoped that the dissemination of research grants can also be conveyed to all lecturers and researchers at UIN Jakarta.
A number of Vice Rectors also provided input. Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Zulkifli suggested that lecturers to collaborate with other lecturer-researchers, while the Vice Rector for Student Affairs Arief Subhan suggested that students should also be involved in conducting research. (zm/usa)
