Public Information Openness is one of UIN Jakarta's concerns
Ciputat, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta is committed to becoming the most informative state Islamic religious university in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning on the public information openness. The quality strengthening on infrastructure and the superstructure of public information services will be the main concern of the institution.
This was said by the Sub-division head of publication and documentary of UIN Jakarta Samsudin on Thursday (11/26/2020). According to Samsudin, UIN Jakarta has made various efforts to encourage the public information openness. This is done by encouraging each unit to maximize the delivery of information online in line with the trend of current media users.
In addition, information disclosure is also delivered through UIN Jakarta social media accounts. Even UIN Jakarta also specifically created a Public Information Service channel which is handled specifically by the Information and Documentation Management team (PPID) which can be accessed via the https://ppid.uinjkt.ac.id/ page.
“Regarding the delivery of public information, we always do our best so that the public can get all the information needed,” he said.
As a higher education institution, he continued, UIN Jakarta has an interest in delivering information about education for prospective students as well as research-policies needed by partner educational institutions, research, and government.
It is known that UIN Jakarta is included in the top 13 national category of State Universities in the Fairly Informative category by the Indonesian Central Information Commission (KIP). In KIP's own records, the latest monitoring and evaluation of 348 Public Bodies (BP) such as Ministries / Non-Ministerial Institutions, Regional Governments, and Universities throughout 2020, the majority of 72.99 percent (254 BP) are in the very low category in terms of compliance with implementing public information disclosure.
