PSM Team Welcomed by UIN Jakarta Leaders
Rectorate Building, UIN NEWS Online - The arrival of the Student Choir (PSM) team of UIN Jakarta after competing in Colombo, Sri Lanka, was welcomed affectionately by UIN Jakarta leaders in front of Rectorate building on Tuesday (31/10/2017). The welcoming ceremony was done simply by delivering two gold medals and trophies from the PSM Team to Head of Administration Bureau of Academic, Student Affairs and Cooperation (BAAKK) Drs Zaenal Arifin MPdI.
The atmosphere of emotion and pride enveloped the leaders and the team. They cheered after winning the choir competition at the 4th Asia Pacific Choir Games in Nelum Pokuna Mahindra Rajapaksa Theater, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The team won the competition after defeating choir team from several countries and universities in Asia Pacific region on 21-28 October 2017.
Zaenal Arifin in his speech congratulated and thanks to PSM Team who has become the champion. The victory, he said, is not just for UIN Jakarta but also for Indonesia.
As reported before, the PSM team of UIN Jakarta which consists of 38 people was successfully won two gold medals at the same time. The two medals were as the 1st Place of Asia Pacific Champions Competition and 1st Place of Grand Prix of Nations Colombo 2017 in the Folklore with Accompaniment category.
After the medal and trophy submission, PSM Team then together held a joint prayer while forming a circle and singing the national song of Syukur (gratitude). Then they do prostration of gratitude that marks their achievement.
