PSGA and FK UIN Jakarta Collaboration: First Daycare Officially Opened
Faculty of Medicine, UIN News Online - The Gender and Child Study Center (PSGA) of UIN Jakarta, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine (FK) UIN Jakarta, has officially launched a daycare center. The inauguration, which marks the first daycare center opened by PSGA UIN Jakarta, took place on Sunday (02/06/2024).
The daycare inauguration was conducted by UIN Jakarta’s Rector, represented by Vice-Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., and the Head of PSGA UIN Jakarta, Dr. Wiwi Siti Sajaroh, M.Ag. The event was also attended by the Dean of FK UIN Jakarta, Dr. Achmad Zaki, M.Epid., Sp.OT. FICS.
Dr. Wiwi warmly welcomed and thanked FK UIN Jakarta for its collaboration and support in launching this daycare. "The presence of this daycare makes the Faculty of Medicine at UIN Jakarta unique compared to other medical faculties," said Dr. Wiwi.
Dean Dr. Zaki expressed his hope that the daycare at FK UIN Jakarta would make the campus child-friendly. The inauguration of the daycare aligns with the university’s vision and mission to be child-friendly, women-friendly, and gender-equal.
Representing the Rector, Vice-Rector Ali praised this positive initiative. He stated that the daycare is a good policy for the university. "This daycare provides a solution for lecturers so that their teaching activities are not disrupted," he said.
The launch of the daycare under the PSGA UIN Jakarta aims to benefit working parents, especially mothers. Additionally, it is expected to boost the enthusiasm of lecturers to come to the campus.
It is noted that PSGA UIN Jakarta is currently working on three main initiatives: ensuring gender equality at UIN Jakarta, establishing a task force for the prevention and handling of sexual violence at UIN Jakarta, and launching daycare centers at each campus/faculty within UIN Jakarta.
Following the daycare inauguration, the event continued with a grand tablig akbar at Taajul Ilmi Mosque and a discussion with speakers.
